Electronics Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electronics Technician located in Romeoville, IL. The Electronics Technician will assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and test printed circuit boards (PCB) and electronic assemblies. They will also maintain and calibrate electronic testing equipment and communicate with engineers and supervisors to provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in electronics or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Surface mount soldering skills.
  • Experience in PCB and electronic assembly, repair, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to use electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Firmware Engineer at TBR Electronics Romeoville, IL 60446

Job Description
Develop embedded software utilizing C for primarily bare-metal embedded applications, possibly including supporting desktop applications.
Consult with other engineers to design, implement, document, and support existing and future projects.

Preferred Experience
ARM Cortex experience a must
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or another related field. Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience developing asynchronous applications in Javascript; Node.js experience preferred. Experience developing on headless Linux machines over SSH
Knowledge of Git revision control.
Experience with hardware debugging tools (Logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Low-level software development experience designing and debugging hardware drivers (UART, I2C, SPI, etc.)

Desired Skills
Experience developing applications with C# or VB.NET
Experience developing applications on Raspberry Pi or similar embedded Linux platform Experience with Keil uVision IDE
Experience with Amazon AWS
